Description
Alinta, a word from the Indigenous Australian language, means fire or flame and reflects Bladnoch Distillery’s connection to its Australian property. Each October, the distillery produces its peated whiskies, with Alinta, Bladnoch’s only peated expression to date, being extended this year with a limited edition annual bottling.
This new edition, which comes from rare stocks of the 2009 vintage, is called Alinta Reserve and is matured in 100% first fill amontillado sherry hogshead casks. With a limited edition of only 2000 bottles, this bottling is carefully selected by Master Distiller Dr. Nick Savage and embodies a unique balance of smoky campfire flavors and hints of white chocolate.
For the first batch in 2023, only casks from the rare 2009 stock were used to offer lovers of a strong yet harmonious dram a special taste experience.
