The Lost Distillery Company describes itself as “an independent, boutique Scotch whisky company” with a mission “to create present day expressions of legendary whiskies that belonged to the craft of whisky distilling almost a century ago.
This golden Scotch has a peaty aroma, with a honeyed undercurrent. Notably smooth and silky on the palate, a medicinal, iodine note leads on the palate, followed by bold peat smoke and hints of BBQ-like mesquite. A faint citrus note plays on the smoky, peppery fade.
