Blue Spot 7 Years Old Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the powerful rebirth of a historic name from the legendary Spot Whiskey range from Mitchell & Son, one of Ireland’s oldest wine merchants. This bottling marks the return of Blue Spot after over 50 years and complements the renowned range with a cask strength version, bottled directly from the cask at an intense 58.4% ABV – without chill filtration or coloring.
The whiskey matures for at least seven years in an exceptional combination of bourbon, sherry, and rare Madeira casks. This maturation gives the pot still whiskey its distinctive depth, structure, and aromatic complexity. The pot still distillation – typically Irish – produces a robust, spicy base, which is complemented by notes of dried fruit, spice, and sweet oak from the barrels.
