The Alexander Aqva Di Vita Amarone Cask Finish is an expressive Italian single malt whisky, matured in high-quality Amarone wine casks. Produced by the renowned Distilleria Bottega, this bottling combines the delicate grain and wood aromas of a single malt with the fruit, depth, and structure of the legendary Amarone della Valpolicella. The refined red wine cask maturation gives the whisky a full-bodied profile with a fine tannin structure and luscious fruit notes.
After initial maturation in oak casks, the whisky is transferred to former Amarone casks for final aromatization. These impart intense notes of dark berries, ripe grapes, and spices, which, combined with the solid malt base, create an elegant, complex character. Bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky presents itself with an aromatically dense yet harmonious strength – naturally unchill-filtered and natural in color.
