Description
All Aberlour single malts are made with the best local barley and soft water, from nearby Ben Rinnes Mountain.
Maturation takes place for a minimum of 12 years in hand-selected oloroso sherry casks and American oak casks. This double maturation subtly brings together the characteristics of each cask to create a rich and complex range of single malts.
The 12-year-old Aberlour is a rich single malt with compelling citrus character and a good example of how the distinctive crisp Aberlour citrus aroma, is softened by aging in two casks.
Traditional oak and aged sherry casks are used to efficient effect and combined to create a subtly balanced flavor.
