Description
Thoroughbred racing, a private railroad car and the ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail were part of the life of Colonel James E. Pepper. He proudly made his whiskey according to his grandfather’s original recipe.
Today, after years of research and a found letter from 1887, which contains the production methods and the exact mash composition, the James E. Pepper Distillery produces the 1776 again according to the old recipe.
The distillery is now trying to produce more James E. Pepper whiskies, which correspond to the ‘Old Style’ of the original.
